Specialists education

The Faculty of Robotics and Instrumentation Engineering (FRIE) of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute was founded in 1962. The faculty trains specialists in the field of knowledge G “Engineering, Manufacturing and Construction” in two specialties: G7 (174) Automation, Computer-Integrated Technologies and Robotics and G6 (175) Information and Measuring Technologies. Codes 174 and 175 were used before 2025.

The four departments of the faculty employ 96 teachers, including 14 Doctors of Sciences and 72 Candidates of Sciences (PhD). About 1,500 full-time and 300 part-time students study at the faculty. Over more than 60 years, the faculty has trained over 11,000 specialists, including more than 200 for other countries. The faculty hosts a methodological commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and two specialized academic councils for the defence of dissertations.

Education is provided at the bachelor’s, master’s and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) levels in full-time and part-time forms of study.
